1. Explain the term “hydrosphere”

Q: What is the hydrosphere?
A:

  • The hydrosphere is the total amount of water found on, under, and above the surface of the Earth.

  • It includes all forms of water: liquid, solid (ice), and gas (water vapour).

The hydrosphere covers about 71% of the Earth’s surface.
